I live in the Boston area and love writing, history and hiking. When my children were young, we did easy hikes but for the past 10 years or so my husband and I and sometimes our daughter have section hiked most of the Appalachian Trail in New Hampshire, some of Maine AT and Massachusetts. We do other interesting hikes as well; for example, Evans Notch in Maine. I recently began to take more pictures on our hikes and wanted a forum to share the photos , hiking information and other interesting tidbits. I think that is what distinguishes this blog from others-because I include some history that helps give an appreciation of the area and sometimes information about the flora and fauna I stumble (literally sometimes) across in my travels. Also, since I am over 60, I hope I can be an inspiration to others to continue to hit the trail! ENJOY! I love comments too!
